Canadian deep-tech innovator brings persistent, battery-free, all-domain intelligence to Austin—turning assets, infrastructure and environments into live digital twins.

British Columbia, Canada (PRUnderground) July 14th, 2026

EPIC Semiconductors, Inc. today announced its participation in Fed SuperNova 2026 and the Q-Branch Dual-Use Accelerator in Austin, Texas, from August 17–22, 2026, with support from Q-Branch and His Majesty the King in Right of Canada, as represented by the Minister of Foreign Affairs through Global Affairs Canada and the Consulate General of Canada in Dallas.

At Fed SuperNova, EPIC will showcase Smart Dust—the invisible digital twin layer: a new class of tiny, battery-free intelligent sensing devices designed to connect the physical world continuously to real-time operational intelligence.

Unlike conventional digital twins that depend on limited, battery-powered sensors and intermittent data, EPIC Smart Dust creates a persistent sensing fabric across equipment, infrastructure, vehicles, vessels, terrain and people. The result is a living digital representation that can reveal where something changed, what changed and when attention is required.

“A digital twin is only as intelligent as the physical-world data feeding it,” said Nasrin Zadeh, COO of EPIC Semiconductors. “Smart Dust makes that connection persistent, scalable and almost invisible—across land, sea, underwater, industrial environments and other places where conventional sensing reaches its limits.”

Smart Dust is designed for all-domain, all-terrain and low-observable operation, with no conventional radio beaconing or battery-driven heat source at the sensing point. Its zone-based architecture can transform borders, bases, vessels, factories, logistics systems and critical infrastructure into continuously updated digital environments.

EPIC will participate in the Canadian company showcase and networking programme on Wednesday, August 19, while maintaining a demonstration presence at Q-Branch during the Austin programme. The company will engage with U.S. federal agencies, defence primes, system integrators, investors and operational partners seeking next-generation sensing and digital-twin capabilities.

The Consulate General of Canada in Dallas supports Canadian commercial engagement across Texas and the surrounding region as part of Global Affairs Canada’s international network.

From Digital Models to Living Intelligence

EPIC Smart Dust is not another sensor added to the edge.

It is the intelligent layer that allows the edge itself to become visible.

Battery-free. Persistent. Silent. All-domain. Digital-twin ready.
