LEHI, Utah, Nov. 4, 2026 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Thanksgiving Point is proud to announce the opening of two new STEM Discovery Spaces at the Museum of Natural Curiosity, made possible through the generous support of the Larry H. & Gail Miller Family Foundation.
Bridges from Me to You and Teamwork in the Wee Jungle create new opportunities for children to learn through hands-on play, exploration, and problem-solving. Designed for different ages and stages of development, both spaces reflect Thanksgiving Point's mission to ignite curiosity and build confidence in children through meaningful STEM experiences.
Bridges from Me to You invites children to discover how bridges connect people and cultures while also exploring the principles of engineering. Interactive challenges encourage creative problem-solving while building compassion, perseverance, and connection.
"Throughout our family's business and giving journey, we have been guided by the belief that the work we do should help create a better path for those who come after us. We strive to be bridge builders," said Gail Miller, chair of the Larry H. & Gail Miller Family Foundation and co-founder of the Larry H. Miller Company. "Bridges from Me to You brings that spirit to life by inviting children to explore how engineering can connect people and cultures. Through hands-on challenges, children develop creativity, perseverance, compassion and a deeper understanding that the strongest bridges—both physical and human—are created to bring us closer together."
That spirit of connection is also at the heart of the exhibit's tribute. Bridges from Me to You honors the memory of Merrick Betterton, a fourth-generation member of the Miller family who passed away in 2022 at the age of two. In creating a place where children can explore, imagine and discover, the exhibit carries forward Merrick's memory in a way that brings people closer together.
"Bridges from Me to You and Teamwork in the Wee Jungle are beautiful examples of how learning can be both meaningful and fun," said Breanne Miller, a third-generation member of the Miller family. "It is especially moving to have my son's memory honored in a place where children can explore, imagine and discover the power of connection. My hope is that other parents experiencing loss can visit this place and feel their child with them through the bridge to the other side, and know they are not forgotten."
Teamwork in the Wee Jungle was created especially for children ages 3 and younger, giving infants and toddlers a place to explore alongside the adults who care for them. Hands-on experiences introduce early STEM concepts while encouraging movement, coordination, problem-solving, and social development.
Together, Bridges from Me to You and Teamwork in the Wee Jungle expand the Museum of Natural Curiosity as a place where children can develop STEM skills alongside the confidence, compassion, creativity, and resilience that help them grow.
These new STEM Discovery Spaces are now open at Museum of Natural Curiosity at Thanksgiving Point.
