Midvale roofing company won the bid to install a new roof on the expansive Utah Opera Production Studios in downtown Salt Lake City

Work began on the roof replacement on July 8, 2024.

The Utah Opera acquired its Production Studios in 1995 to bring all their operations together under one roof. In 2002, the Opera merged with the Utah Symphony and added 30,000 square feet to the existing building, nearly doubling the square footage. Today, the Utah Opera uses the Production Studios for rehearsals, set and costume design and storage, and administrative offices. It also houses their extensive collection of costumes and sets that other operas regularly rent from the Utah Opera.
